DIJON(2) - SAINT-LEGER-SUR-DHEUNE - SANTENAY - CHAGNY - CHALON -
SAINT-JEAN-DE-LOSNE - PETIT-OUGE - DIJON

 

From Saint-Leger-sur-Dheune to Dijon, join us for a unique journey along the Burgundy canal to discover cities with unconditional charm. Visit Saint-Jean-de-Losne and its Musee de la Batellerie, recounting the history of navigation, and taste regional products and wines in Santenay. Do not miss out on Chalon-sur-Saene, beautiful city of art and history, and hike to the Cirque du Bout du Monde
for some gorgeous panoramas: take advantage of this relaxing yet cultural and gourmet cruise that will not fail to surprise you!


DAY 1: DIJON(2) - SAINT-LEGER-SUR-DHEUNE

Possible transfer(2) by coach from Dijon to Saint-L?ger-sur-Dheune. Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail.

DAY 2: SAINT-LEGER-SUR-DHEUNE - SANTENAY - CHAGNY

We'll leave by coach for our excursion towards Nolay, where we will find our trailhead to hike to the Cirque du Bout du Monde, a Natura 2000 natural site. We'll see the imposing chalk cliffs carved out by the Cozanne River which created a blind valley, where a waterfall over 80 feet high adds a touch of wonder. We'll continue by coach towards Mont de Sene, an ancient Celtic religious site which overlooks the Santenay vineyards from a height of over 1,700 feet. In the afternoon, we'll walk to the center of Santenay, a charming little wine-producing village with a priceless historical heritage and wine tasting* session at one of the 38 wine producers' in the village. The end of the afternoon will be spent cruising towards Chagny.

DAY 3: CHAGNY - CHALON-SUR-SAONE

This morning will be spent cruising towards Chalon-sur-Saone. Feel free to bike along the banks of the Doubs River by taking the Green Way bike path (1). In the afternoon, join us on a walking tour of Chalon-sur-Saone, birthplace of Joseph Nicephore Niepce, who, in 1824, was one of the inventors of photography. Enjoy a tasting* of local wines before returning on board.

DAY 4: CHALON-SUR-SAONE - SAINT-JEAN-DE-LOSNE

This morning will be spent cruising towards Saint-Jean-de-Losne. Bicycles are available on board if you would like to ride along the canal's banks (1). In the afternoon, join us on a guided tour of Saint-Jean-de- Losne and the Batellerie Museum (closed on Mondays), which will end with a tasting of local specialties from Burgundy. Afterwards, we'll return on board.

DAY 5: SAINT-JEAN-DE-LOSNE - PETIT-OUGES

The whole day will be spent cruising towards Petit-Ouges. Bicycles are available on board at any time if you'd like to take a bike ride along the canal's banks (1). We'll arrive in Petit-Ouges late in the afternoon.

DAY 6: PETIT-OUGES - DIJON

This morning will be spent cruising towards Dijon. In the afternoon, join us on an excursion along the Burgundy Grands Crus Wine Route. The touristic Grands Crus wine route passes through villages and the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. We'll stop along the way for a wine tasting* session. Tonight is our gala evening and dinner.

DAY 7: DIJON

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.

DAY 1: DIJON

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. in Dijon. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail before dinner.

DAY 2: DIJON - LONGECOURT-EN-PLAINE

This morning will be spent cruising. Take advantage of this first day cruising to relax and admire the beautiful Burgundy scenery, or to walk or bike alongside the boat on the canal's bicycle path (1). In the afternoon, join us on an excursion along the Grands Crus Wine Route. The touristic Grands Crus wine route passes through villages and the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. We'll return on board in Longecourt-en-Plaine.

DAY 3: LONGECOURT-EN-PLAINE - SAINT-JEAN-DE-LOSNE

This morning will be spent cruising. As we travel, you are free to bike along the Doubs River at any time by taking the Green Way bike path (1). In the afternoon, join us on a tour of Saint-Jean-de-Losne. We'll explore monuments that tell the story of the city's prestigious past, such as the monument commemorating the Siege of 1636, and the Hotel-Dieu, which was a charitable hospital founded in 1658 and is surrounded by intricately wrought iron railings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The visit will end with a tasting of local specialties from Burgundy.

DAY 4: SAINT-JEAN-DE-LOSNE - CHALON-SUR-SAONE

This morning will be spent cruising towards Chalon-sur-Saone. As we cruise, you'll admire the Saone River's hilly banks and typical local houses perched on its hillsides. Feel free to ride alongside the boat taking the Green Way bike path (1). In the afternoon, join us on a tour of Chalon-sur-Saone, birthplace of Joseph Nicephore Niepce, one of the inventors of photography.

DAY 5: CHALON-SUR-SAONE - CHAGNY

This morning will be spent cruising towards Chagny. This is the perfect moment to relax and enjoy the hillside scenery and rolling meadows along our route. We'll set out for a hike to the Cirque du Bout du Monde. We'll discover the imposing chalk cliffs carved out by the Cozanne River which created a blind valley, where a waterfall over 80 feet high adds a touch of wonder.

DAY 6: CHAGNY - SANTENAY - SAINT-LEGER-SUR-DHEUNE

We'll set off towards Santenay, a wine village with a priceless historical and natural heritage, which we will reach during the morning. We'll set off from the ship and walk to the center of Santenay, a charming little wine-producing village. Join us for a wine tasting* session at one of the 38 wine producers' in the village. In the afternoon, we'll cruise towards Saint-Leger-sur-Dheune. Relax and admire the passing lush landscapes. Late in the afternoon, we'll arrive in St. Leger-sur-Dheune. Tonight is our gala evening and dinner.

DAY 7: SAINT-LEGER-SUR-DHEUNE - DIJON

Dijon arring late morning. End of our services.
